Iran Press/ Middle East: In a Wednesday tweet, Mohammad Abdusalam said: "The crimes of the aggressor Saudi-American coalition against the Yemeni people are unprecedented and are associated with brutality and terrorism, and Saudi Arabia and the UAE must be prosecuted, the two countries that are hated not only humanly but also politically."
Still, the Spokesman for the Yemeni Ansarullah Movement congratulated the occasion and described the Islamic Republic of Iran as a unique role model of an independent and powerful country in the Muslim world.
Saudi Arabia and a number of its regional allies launched the devastating war on Yemen in March 2015 in order to bring the country’s former president Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi back to power and crush the Ansarullah movement.
Since then, over 100,000 people have been killed, according to the US-based Armed Conflict Location and Event Data Project (ACLED).
