Tehran (IP) - Iranian people took to the streets of the capital Tehran and other cities of the countries on Wednesday, Feb 10, 2021, to celebrate the 42nd anniversary of the victory of Iran's Islamic Revolution.

Iran Press/Iran news: Today, the Iranian people celebrated the 42nd anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution in compliance with health protocols amid the coronavirus outbreak.

The event is celebrated in a different way this year due to COVID-19; Hence, the people have been asked to show their presence in their vehicles, including cars, motorcycles, etc. to prevent more spread of the coronavirus.

Azadi Square in Tehran has witnessed the enthusiastic presence of the people every year for such an event (Bahman 22 in the Iranian calendar).

Some songs whose themes are all about the victory of Iran's Islamic Revolution are sung, and they are heard from Tehran's very iconic Tower of Azadi.  

The anniversary of the Islamic Revolution is celebrated on February 10, 2021 (Bahman 22nd according to the Iranian calendar) every year. It commemorates the protests that led to the downfall of the Pahlavi regime and the establishment of the Islamic Revolution by Imam Khomeini (may his soul rest in peace).
