Iran's Ghalibaf calls Tehran, Moscow role in new world order

Moscow (IP) - The Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran on Monday at the Moscow Institute of Oriental Studies stressed the need for Iran and Russia to play a role in the new world order.

Iran PressEurope: Referring to the need for Iran and Russia to play a role in the new world order, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, who was addressing the Iranologists and thinkers of the Moscow Institute of Oriental Studies, said: "In this new world order, the monopoly of advanced technologies has been removed from the West."

Ghalibaf also referred to the crises in the world and said that the United States and some countries sought to maintain power through confrontation with Russia and China, terrorist use of military power, such as what we saw in the assassination of Lt General Qasem Soleimani to control their power.

The Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran added: "The next century will be the century of Asia, and the center of gravity of the world has less history of coercion and more history of peace and friendship."

The Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran arrived in Moscow on Sunday evening at the head of a parliamentary delegation to meet and consult with senior Russian officials.

Ghalibaf has arrived in Russia at the official invitation of Russian State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin.

On Monday, the Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran, in a meeting with Vyacheslav Viktorovich Volodin, conveyed the message of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution addressed to the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, to the Speaker of the State Duma of this country.
