Tehran (IP) - A university professor has said that Iran's Islamic Revolution was the first postmodern revolution that influenced other countries.

Iran PressIran News: In the first conference on 'The role and explanation of the strategies of the Second Step of the Islamic Revolution in shaping the geopolitics of the 1400 AH Century', Ebrahim Mottaqi stated that the United States, the Soviet Union, and European countries defended Iraq during the Iran-Iraq war because Islamic Revolution's victory had created a geopolitical transformation and had affected the bipolar world.

He noted that US policy toward Iran would not change because the US did not want Iran's geopolitical expansion.

Mottaqi pointed out that Iran's power was limited, but its progress could not be stopped, and the more restrictions imposed on Iran, the more the country would work for progress.

The university professor concluded that in order to succeed in promoting civilization, Iran must have the necessary ability to control actors, events, developments, and resources.

Following the conference, Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Sajjadpour also voiced his views on insight, new birth, and geopolitical growth.

He stressed that Iran defended its territory and borders with a geopolitical vision during the 8 years of Sacred Defense.

He stated that by the victory of the Islamic Revolution, a deep crack had been imposed on the bipolar world, and this was the birth of a geopolitical transformation in the world.

"What safeguards the Islamic Revolution and was along with the ideals of the revolution, and now is the country's capital and the enemy is trying to destroy it, is the hope of the Iranian nation. The Iranian nation is always hopeful and continues its path," Sajjadpour concluded.
