Maj. Gen. Salami:

Tehran (IP) - IRGC Chief Commander Major General Hossein Salami underscored that the Iranian nation has overcome the sanctions and defeated its architects.

Iran PressIran News: On Monday, at the ceremony of adding 340 vessels to the IRGC navy fleet, Major General Hossein Salami said: "The Iranian nation will not exchange its independence for sanctions."

Major General Salami stated: "Iran's progress during the sanctions period has been much stronger, brighter and more modern than the non-sanctions period."

Salami added: "The volume of attacks in these 42 years was completely global and all world powers were united against Iran. The enemy turned all angles of the great nation of Iran, including psychological, economic, social, political and cultural areas into the geography of war."

IRGC Chief Commander said that the enemies thought that they could separate the honorable people of Iran from the Islamic system and their leader through economic, social, political pressure, and military intimidation.

Salami added: "Maximum pressure and its architect have lost to the Iranian nation and today we are facing a defeated enemy."
