Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman during his weekly press conference said: "Last week we witnessed the issuance of a final ruling by the International Court of Justice, which was one of the victories of the Islamic Republic of Iran."

Iran PressIran news: During his weekly press conference on Monday, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeid Khatibzadeh congratulated the 42nd anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution."

Khatibzadeh in response to a question about Iraqi FM Fuad Hussein’s visit to Tehran stated: "The trip was completely bilateral and in line with the consultations between the two countries. Economic issues, border contacts, and the follow-up to the assassination of General Soleimani also were discussed, in all three of which there were good talks."

"During this visit, the judicial process of all those responsible in the assassination of General Soleimani was discussed," he added.

He also said that Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif will meet with the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Yemen.

"Today, the Foreign Minister will meet with the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Yemen, and the judiciary Chief will travel to Iraq today," Khatibzadeh noted.

Regarding Mohammad Javad Zarif's remarks last night in a special news interview, he said: "While we must diversify foreign economic relations and make our relations with other countries in a balanced situation, the answer to many problems is inside the country. Regarding Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), Iran has prepared all the necessary space to compensate for the past path of the United States and the violations of Europe."

Khatibzadeh said: "We will not stop the United States from becoming wise and we welcome the end to the path of arrogance that the United States was suffering from. We are waiting for the action of the other party to return to all the obligations, then we will follow the path of returning to the obligations too. "They left the negotiating table and JCPOA."

"Europe has two hats, one of which is the European troika, and they have failed to fulfill their commitments. There is another hat that Borrell has as the coordinator of JCPOA. What Zarif said was a reminder of Borrell's role and facilitator of the European Union in the path of JCPOA. Consultations continue very closely and talks will be held. Our representatives are in touch,” he added.

Regarding Mohammad Baqer Ghalibaf's visit to Moscow, Khatibzadeh said: "The meeting with Russian President Putin was not planned from the beginning. If it were not for coronavirus and the protocols, some appointments might have been made. We are now in a special situation and the spirit of the trip is important. He has good meetings with the Russian authorities."
