Iran Press/Iran News: Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei this morning (Sunday) in a meeting with the commanders of the Air Force and Air Defense of the Army, said the historic allegiance of Air Force Personnel to Imam Khomeini on February 8, 1979, was one of the important surprises and the main factors of the victory of the revolution and also the miscalculation of the Americans and said that the need for the continuation of the rapid movement of the revolution, the presence of people on the scene, uninterrupted diligence, and effort, is the unity of words, especially among officials, trust in divine promise and increasing components of national power in action.
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution called the recent scandalous cases of the United States and the fall of Donald Trump a decline in the reputation, power, and social and political order of the United States, and referred to the comments of European and American officials with regard to the JCPOA (Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action) and sanctions, noting that they violated their JCPOA-related commitments and the party that should make condition is the Islamic Republic because it adhered to its obligations.
"The side with the right to set conditions to JCPOA is Iran since it abided by all its commitments, not the US or the three European countries who breached theirs. If they want Iran to return, the US must lift all sanctions. We'll verify and if it's done properly, we’ll return to our commitments," he added.
Ayatollah Khamenei pointed to the strange miscalculation of the US Democratic government at the time, in assessing the situation of the country and the people, and stressed that the Americans had high hopes for the Shah's army and, according to definitive news, had planned a coup to prevent the fall of the regime by arresting the leaders of the revolution and using widespread violence against the people, but one of the factors that thwarted their evil plan was the air force's measure on February 8.
Emphasizing that the US miscalculation against Iran continues and they still do not have a correct understanding of the Iranian nation, the Leader went on to say that an example of this miscalculation was in the sedition of 2009 when the Democratic President of the United States thought he would finish the job and officially supported the sedition.
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution cited unprecedented sanctions aimed at overthrowing Iran as another example of US miscalculations and said that one of the same first-ranked idiots said two years ago that we would celebrate January 2019 in Tehran. Now that person has gone to the dustbin of history and his boss has been kicked out of the White House with a scandal, but the Islamic Republic of Iran has stood proud thanks to God.
Ayatollah Khamenei stressed that the enemy and the defectiveness of its computing system should not be ignored, noting that other factors have been effective in the success of the Islamic Revolution, including diligence and effort, the presence of people on the scene, and their belief in the need of this presence, trust in divine promise and reciprocal planning.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces emphasized that nothing can be done by sitting and watching. By being present in diligence, and trusting in God, the officials should constantly increase the components of national power and produce power in practice.
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution described the strengthening of the armed forces in accordance with regional and international needs as one of the manifestations of power generation, and praised the recent exercises by the armed forces, adding that it is a great honor to carry out such great and wonderful exercises, even in the conditions of sanctions.
Ayatollah Khamenei considered the production of power in the armed forces necessary in addition to strengthening the equipment, maintaining and promoting the moral, faith, and spiritual strength of the forces and said that the big mistake of some countries in the region was that they demand national security from foreigners and despite billions of dollars in spending and humiliation and insults, they are ultimately unsafe when they need; As we saw in the cases of Egypt and Tunisia a few years ago or in the fate of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi.
