Iran says warring countries must end siege of Yemen

Tehran (IP) - The spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran said that the warmongering countries had to realize their strategic mistake in invading Yemen and by admitting their six-year mistake, end the war and siege of Yemen and pursue a peaceful solution.

Iran PressIran News: In response to a question about recent statements by US officials regarding Yemen, Saeed Khatibzadeh said: "Halting support and not selling weapons to the Saudi coalition if it is not a political maneuver, can be a step towards correcting past mistakes."
Khatibzadeh noted: "This issue alone will not solve the problem of Yemen, and then the air, sea and land blockade, which killed thousands of people in that country due to food and drug poverty, must be lifted, and military attacks by the aggressor countries to Yemen led by Saudi Arabia must be lifted."

He stressed that the international community and some countries involved in Saudi Arabia's crimes against the Yemeni people by trading and selling weapons should end their hard and soft support of Saudi Arabia and block the way for this humanitarian catastrophe to continue, adding: "Unfortunately, Saudi Arabia with the start of the war in Yemen, it has become more vulnerable and is trying to acquit itself of military aggression in Yemen and the killing of thousands of Yemeni women and children by making false accusations against other countries in the face of maximum US pressure.

Khatibzadeh said: "Iran welcomes any effort of the international community to support Yemen and stop supporting the aggressor, and to solve the problem, it continues to enforce the four- article solution."
