The President of the Montenegrin Chamber of Commerce and the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Montenegro in the meeting emphasized the further development of economic and trade cooperation between Montenegro and Iran, considering the possibilities of the two countries.

Iran PressEurope: Vlastimir Golubovic and Rashid Hassanpour met in Podgorica on Wednesday and emphasized that the two countries have had good political relations for many years and that there is obviously considerable room for improving and expanding economic cooperation between Podgorica and Tehran.

During the meeting, Iran's non-resident ambassador to Montenegro noted the two countries' extensive opportunities for co-operation in various fields, including economic, trade and tourism.

Hassanpour said it was unfortunate that Iranian companies were not among the 100 foreign companies with significant investment capacity in Montenegro, adding: "he expects that with the fruitful cooperation and support of the Chamber of Commerce in introducing Iranian companies to enter the Montenegrin economic system, a big step will be taken to improve and expand economic cooperation between the two countries."

 Referring to the economic potential of the two countries, Vladimir Golobovich said: "The fact that the value of trade with Iran last year amounted to five hundred and seventeen thousand euros is less than the expectations and capabilities of the two countries." 219
