India (IP): On the sidelines of attending the 2021 International exhibition for the aerospace and defense industries of India, the Iranian Minister of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics met with India’s Chief of Defence Staff, emphasizing the expansion of bilateral cooperation.

Iran Press/Asia: Referring to the cultural and historical commonalities of the two countries and their common positions on many regional and international issues, Brigadier General Amir Hatami underscored: "The geographical location of the two countries on the Indian Ocean gives them a privileged position which can provide a good ground for the development of cooperation in various fields, especially defense and security."

During the meeting, India’s Chief of Defence Staff, Bipin Rawat thanked Brigadier General Amir Hatami for his presence at Aero India 2021, considering it a sign of the two countries' will to develop relations.

The current status of bilateral military cooperation and new cooperation capabilities were reviewed and discussed during the meeting.
