Tehran (IP) - Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman said the US had left JCPOA with a signature and its return was possible only with effective actions.

Iran PressIran News: Attending his weekly press conference and responding to Iran Press question regarding circumstances through which Iran would accept the US as a Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) member, Saeed Khatibzadeh stated that Iran was waiting for effective steps by the US and lifting sanctions.

"Iran’s resources must be accessible, Iran must be able to sell its oil and benefit shipping insurance, that is a chain of lifting sanctions," he noted.

Khatibzadeh went on to say that all that had happened after Trump’s administration in JCPOA had to return to its previous condition, not only on paper but in practice.

The United States left JCPOA and violated UNSC 2231 resolution; it should return to them effectively, he asserted.

Regarding the second question of Iran Press on Myanmar condition on early Monday, Khatibzadeh pointed out that minimal information had been received. Still, Iran had always expressed its worrisome about the situation of minorities and hoped that movements in this county would not make the situation worse.

"The 21st century is not the century for transfer of powers as the past we were familiar with, and we must observe what will happen," he concluded.
