A convoy of trucks carrying the US-led coalition military logistics was hit by a roadside bomb while crossing a highway in the Iraqi central province of Babil.

Iran Press/Middle East: An Iraqi security source said on Sunday that the explosion took place in the city of Hilla.

The security source, who did not want to be named, added: "The explosion, which was carried out by unknown people, did not cause any casualties, but damaged the vehicles of the convoy."

According to the Anadolu News Agency, following the blast, Iraqi security forces cordoned off the area and launched an investigation to identify the perpetrators.
