Iran, Oman stress development of economic, banking ties

Muscat (IP) - The Governor of the Central Bank of Iran and the Foreign Minister of Oman, stressed the development of economic and banking relations between the two countries.

Iran PressIran News: Abdolnaser Hemmati met with Omani Foreign Minister Seyed Badr bin Hamad on Tuesday in Muscat.

In the meeting, the Omani Foreign Minister, while pointing to the importance of Iran's role and position in the region, emphasized the expansion of trade and economic relations between the two countries.

It should be noted that earlier and in the meeting of the Governor of the Central Bank of Iran with the Minister of Industry and Trade of Oman in Tehran last year, strategies for continuous development and facilitation of banking and trade relations between Iran and Oman were discussed.

Hemmati arrived in Muscat, the capital of Oman, on Tuesday on a two-day visit at the invitation of Omani officials.

The trip aims to discuss the deepening of banking and trade relations between the two countries, given the new international conditions.
