The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran arrived in Moscow on Tuesday as part of his regional tour.

Iran PressEuropeMohammad Javad Zarif told reporters at the airport: "During our visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Russia, Armenia, Georgia, and Turkey, we will discuss and consult on six-party cooperation and other regional cooperation."

Zarif is scheduled to meet with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov to discuss key issues, including the situation in the Nagorno-Karabakh region, the joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), the Syrian-Afghan conflict, the situation in the Persian Gulf region, and some other topics.

The top Iranian diplomat is heading a delegation, to visit the Azerbaijan Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Georgia, and the Republic of Turkey. Zarif was in Azerbaijan on Monday and arrived in Moscow today.

Zarif will also travel to Armenia, Georgia, and Turkey as part of his regional tour after he visits Moscow.
