Tehran (IP) - The CEO of the Iranian Central Oil Fields Company (ICOFC) voiced his company's readiness to bring back its production capacity to the pre-sanctions era.

Iran PressIran News: Addressing a press conference on Sunday, on the sidelines of the 25th Iran Oil, Gas, Refining, and Petrochemical Exhibition in Tehran, Ramin Hatami said his company had fulfilled all its production commitments over the past 10 months despite the difficulties caused by the sanctions and the coronavirus pandemic.

Referring to the 37 percent increase in the production capacity of the company's joint oil fields compared to last year, he said: "The company is fully prepared to return oil production to pre-sanctions levels," Shana reported.

The CEO of the Iranian Central Oil Fields Company also announced a significant increase in the amount of gas storage in the current calendar year, and added: "At the peak of production from storage tanks, about 25 million cubic meters of gas has been produced on a daily basis."

Hatami further underlined the company's plans to maintain and enhance production and said: "In Saadatabad Field, the progress has reached 75% and in Danan and Naftshahr, we have reached 40% progress. In Danan, three active rigs and 95% of the goods are made domestically. In this field, seismic operations have been carried out in an area of ​​500 square kilometers and good information has been obtained."

He pointed to job creation and the use of local forces in the projects to maintain and surging oil production, and added in the South Zagros Basin, a comprehensive plan for sustainable gas supply of refineries has been developed and the development of Homa, Varavi, and Tabnak gas booster stations using domestic resources has begun.

The CEO of the Central Iranian Oil Company pointed to the implementation of the second phase of the development of Tang-e-Bijar Field, and said: "We will complete the subsurface work in the next month and the project's surface section is underway, which will increase the feedstock of Ilam Refinery."
