Tehran (IP) - The spokesman for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the upcoming visit of the Foreign Minister to the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Georgia, and the Republic of Turkey on Monday.

Iran Press/Iran News: According to Iran Press, Saeed Khatibzadeh on Saturday announced Mohammad Javad Zarif’s visit to the Caucasus region of Russia and Turkey and said: " Heading a delegation, Iran’s Foreign Minister is going to leave for the Republic on Monday this week to travel to the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Georgia and the Republic of Turkey.

He noted: "Zarif will meet with his counterparts and other officials of these countries during these trips."

Explaining the visit, the Foreign Ministry spokesman said: "This visit will focus on bilateral issues, the latest developments in the Caucasus, ongoing projects and areas for the development of peace and stability in the region."

Mohammad Javad Zarif was scheduled to travel to Baku and Moscow in recent weeks, but it was postponed due to a draft budget bill at a cabinet meeting.
