Tehran (IP) - Secretary-General of Iranian National Commission for UNESCO stated that the attention of more than 300 worldwide artists to calligraphy makes Iran and Iranian artists more significant.

Iran PressIran News: Speaking to Iran Press on the sidelines of the opening ceremony of nominated works of art at the International Silk Road Calligraphy Exhibition called (Dance of Pen), Hojatollah Ayoubi stressed that on the opening day of the exhibition in Tehran, a video mapping will be performed on the walls of Azadi Tower on Jan 22, 2021, which is a new way to entertain people amid coronavirus.

Each night until the weekend, artists from various countries will perform their works live at a virtual art gallery, as well as holding live conferences on art, Ayoubi noted.

The first International Exhibition and Conference of the Silk Road Calligraphy aim to display the quotes of prominent figures, messengers of goodness and friendship, the connection between the calligraphers of the world, and the elimination of the thought of war in the human mind.

The International Silk Road Calligraphy Exhibition was opened on Wednesday by the UNESCO Cultural Center and the Municipality of Mashhad at the Khorasan Museum and will last until January 28, 2021.

More than 230 works from about 30 countries, including Iran, China, the Republic of Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Iraq, India, Pakistan, Egypt, Kuwait, Russia, Turkey, France, Spain, the Netherlands, and Poland were exhibited at the event.
