Iranian MP:

Tehran (IP) - Vice-chairman of National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of Iran’s Parliament stated that the key point and the basis of the Islamic Republic of Iran's policy are the Leader's fatwa.

Iran PressIran News:  In an interview with IP on the sidelines of the parliament's open session on Jan 18th, 2021, Shahriar Heidari stressed that all nuclear-based activities of the Islamic Republic of Iran were under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and that Iran does not need a nuclear bomb because it is considered a red line.

Heidari added that the Islamic Republic of Iran started its 20% enrichment two weeks ago as the IAEA was informed. With its extensive research, even the IAEA knows quite well that Iran is not going to make a bomb.

After signatories to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) didn't abide by their commitments, Iran announced a strategic action through the parliament called the Strategic Plan, which eventually became law, Heidari underlined.

Heidari added that during the past 5 years, Iran has always witnessed violations in various countries, including those in Europe, under various pretexts. Even IAEA has confessed that there has been no deviation from the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Some countries are lobbying under the influence of the United States and Israel, or some regional countries utter such baseless claims, said vice-chairman of National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of Iran’s Parliament.

"In general, the nuclear cycle has various branches, and these branches must be developed at the same time so that a country can use its nuclear knowledge in varied fields, including health, treatment, etc. Therefore nuclear knowledge is necessary, and Iran has made no mistakes in terms of deviation according to IAEA's reports and the policies of the Islamic Republic of Iran," he said.

Instead of being considered today and apologizing to the international community and the Iranian nation for not implementing the JCPOA's obligations, European countries sometimes accuse Iran of deviating nuclear knowledge, Shahriar Heidari noted.

"These allegations have no scientific basis, and the Islamic Republic of Iran has acted entirely well within the framework of the IAEA's regulations," he stressed.
