Iran exports 93,000 tons of agricultural products to Iraq

The director-general of Ilam's Costumes, southwest of Iran, said that during the past 10 months, over 93,000 tons of agricultural products, worth more than $43 million, were exported to Iraq through Mehran borderline.

Iran PressIran news: Rouhollah Gholami pointed to the export of $344 million of goods to Iraq through the Mehran borderline and added that the goods were exported to the neighboring country during the last 10 years with a worth of more than #651 million. 

"The most important items exported included construction materials, grocery, plastic goods, industrial products, appliances, glass, and metal products," Gholami said. 

With a distance of about 230 km from Baghdad, the Mehran border in Ilam province is the closest border city of Iran to the Iraqi capital, which today has become a center of export activities and pilgrimage to Iraq.
