Yemen (IP) - In response to the US' announcing Yemen's Ansarullah Movement as a terrorist group, Iran's ambassador to Yemen said the US has no will of its own and puts Ansarullah on the terrorist list under the pressure of the Israeli regime.

Iran Press/Middle East: In a Monday tweet, Hassan Irlu wrote: "The usurping regime does not want the peace of Yemen, but the Yemeni people and the nations of the region and the free world will surprise Israel regime and its supporters with further approval of the blessed movement."

The US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced Monday that the ministry has notified Congress of its decision to put Ansarullah on its list of foreign terrorist organizations. The announcement came as the Saudi-Emirati coalition has been bombing Yemen's infrastructure for nearly six years, imposing a siege, starvation, and lack of medical resources on the Yemeni people, and continuing to kill women and children.

The US Secretary of State also accused Iran of meddling in the war, without mentioning the large cargoes of deadly weapons sent from his country and other Washington allies (such as Britain and France) to the Saudis and Emirati regime and being poured on Yemen's people and its infrastructure.

Reacting to Washington's move, Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, a member of the Yemeni Ansarullah movement's political council, called the US President Donald Trump policies a crisis of thought and condemned behavior, noting that the right to respond is preserved for Yemen.
