Tehran (IP): Iranian Foreign Minister expressed his condolences to the Indonesian government and people over an Indonesian Airlines plane crash.

Iran PressIran news: Following the crash of an Indonesian passenger plane that killed a number of Indonesian citizens, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on Monday called Indonesian Minister for Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi to express sympathy with the Indonesian government and people over the loss.

Also, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh on Monday lamented the crash of an Indonesian Airlines plane that killed all its crew and passengers.

Khatibzadeh expressed his condolences to the Indonesian government and people and expressed regret to the victims' families.

Minutes after taking off from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport near Jakarta, Indonesia, a Boeing 737-500 plane came crashing down into the Java Sea on Saturday, killing all 62 passengers and crew, according to government spokesman Adita Irawati.
