Tehran (IP): Foreign Ministry spokesman said that South Korea remained uncommitted regarding Iran’s blocked money and Iran’s demand is crystal clear

Iran PressIran News: In response to the Iran Press question regarding the visit of the South Korean delegation to Iran, Saeed Khatibzedeh in his weekly presser said, "This trip has been pre-planned and Iran’s demand regarding its blocked money was crystal clear."

Iran’s money must return quickly, although we have not reached a definite result with South Korea and these acts will remain in the history of countries forever, he added.

South Korea is better not to wait until January 20th, since after this date countries may act differently, Khatibzedeh noted.

Khatibzedeh also responded to another question regarding the Leader’s remarks, stressing that the US' return to JCPOA without lifting sanctions is meaningless and if it does not happen what other steps will be taken by Iran after 20% Uranium enrichment.

He said, "Iran’s steps are returnable if other parties have effective implementation of JCPOA."

The parliament’s law is necessary to be implemented and the government has proved it and will implement the law at all levels, he highlighted.

In other parts of his weekly press conference, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman said that today the Korean delegation would meet with Mohammad Javad Zarif.

Saeed Khatibzadeh said: "In the past few days, the issue of the Korean ship, the issue of the Korean delegation's trip to Iran for Korea's debts and the Iranian money blocked in Korean banks have been the most important issues."

He added: "We had the trip of the Korean delegation. They will meet with FM Zarif today. Yesterday, they also met with the Deputy Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi. The issue of Iran’s blocked money was discussed at all of the meetings. Of course, they also had questions about other issues, such as technical issues related to the ship. Therefore, the necessary answers were given to them."

"The Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs was present at the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the parliament of Iran yesterday, and issues related to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and the strategic law on lifting sanctions were discussed," Khatibzadeh noted.
