Iran to test, quarantine of passengers coming from Europe

Tehran (IP) - Iran's Health Minister pointed to the spread of the genetically-leaped British coronavirus and stressed the need to test and quarantine all passengers coming from the European countries.

Iran PressIran News: In a letter to the heads of the country's medical universities on Sunday, Saeed Namaki noted that all passengers who enter Iran directly or indirectly from Europe via air, land and sea borders, in addition to being re-tested at entry points, will be quarantined for a reasonable period of time and by the relevant instructions at the place of residence.

Namaki obliged the country's medical staff to follow checking the passengers' health status and whether their test results come positive. Symptoms appear, the persons associating with them, including drivers, also will be examined and tested.

Already, 5 positive cases of infection with the genetically-leaped British coronavirus have been identified in Iran.
