Iran Press/ Iran News: Hojatollah Ayoubi in an interview with Iran Press on the importance of the calligraphy and its effect on the countries said that Silk Road calligraphy aims at convening countries which have old and historical civilizations, and mainly artistic based.
Ayoubi added that around 1000 works with roughly 300 artists will participate at the first international exhibition and scientific conference of the Silk Road calligraphy both via videoconferencing and in person.
"The core part of the exhibition is holding scientific conferences where 30 countries from Europe, Africa, and the region such as Pakistan, France, Morocco Egypt, India, Tajikistan, Iraq, Tunisia, and Algeria will participate with 25 articles. Moreover, the artists from these countries will perform calligraphy live," Ayoubi stressed.
"This artistic event is a new experience for UNESCO during its 70–year age because it has been seeking the opportunity to make nations and cultures closer via dialogues," he said.
Iran is the forerunner to hold such an event which is art-based, for its long history, civilization and cultural heritage said the Secretary-General of the Iranian National Commission for UNESCO.
The works of art will be displayed at Iran Mall and Azadi Tower, and they will be illuminated as well, he concluded.
The Islamic Republic of Iran considers the Silk Road to be of importance in terms of goods and trading as well as the exchanging of culture and art, Ayoubi pointed. The ambassadors of participant countries will attend the closing ceremony of the exhibition based on all implemented hygienic protocols at Iran Mall, Secretary-General of the Iranian National Commission for UNESCO underlined.
