During a visit to Turkey, the Lebanese Prime Minister-designate met with the Lebanese president and discussed developments and challenges in the region and in Lebanon.

Iran PressAsia: On Friday, Lebanese appointed Prime Minister-designate, Saad al-Hariri arrived in Istanbul to meet with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the latest developments in the region and the various challenges and ways of cooperation between the countries of the region to meet these challenges.

Al-Hariri is trying to attract international support to form his own cabinet and help crisis-stricken Lebanon after failing to form a cabinet within the allotted time.

Following the horrific explosion in the port of Beirut on August 4 and the extensive damage to the port and the Lebanese capital, the crisis deepened in the country, and efforts to form a new government failed after the resignation of Hassan Diab's government.

Saad al-Hariri has been appointed to form a cabinet in recent months, following the resignation of Mustafa Adib.
