Iran (IP)- Iran's Minister of Health and Medical Education called on the nation to refrain from accepting miscellaneous news about the vaccine.

Iran Press/Iran News:  Speaking on the sidelines of a visit to the ministry's observatory on Sunday, Namaki stated: "Fortunately, with the measures taken and the cooperation of the people, the coronavirus death toll in Iran has decreased, approaching a double-digit number."

Regarding access to the vaccine, Namaki added: "Access to the vaccine is being pursued through various ways, and a team has been assigned to prioritize the injection of the COVID vaccine."

The Minister of Health, Treatment and Medical Education of Iran, Saeed Namaki stated: "The priority of COVID vaccine injection in the community has been determined and at the first opportunity after the vaccine arrives, high-risk groups will be invited to receive COVID vaccine."

About the Iranian COVID vaccine, Namaki also said: "Fortunately, the work in the field of making domestically produced vaccines is going on well and the most successful injection methods and clinical trials are used to achieve positive results of vaccine production."

Human injection of the first phase of clinical studies of the first coronavirus vaccine produced in Iran was carried out last week by the research group of the Execution of Imam Khomeini's Order (EIKO) with the exclusive name of "COVIran Barekat".

The number of people infected with the coronavirus in the world has reached more than 85 million, at least 1.844 million of whom have died and more than 60 million have recovered.
