Eleven Republican senators have announced that they intend to reject the confirmation of the election of US President-elect Joe Biden in a vote on Wednesday.

Iran PressAmerica: The Republican senators' move will allow Congress to vote on key states for at least two hours at a congressional hearing Wednesday.

 On the other hand, Trump's campaign has called on his supporters to contact Republican senators to pressure them to protest the election results in key states at the January 6th meeting.

The Senate is scheduled to convene on January 6, chaired by Vice President Mike Pence, during which the Electoral College vote on the winner of the recent US presidential election will be counted.

The US Electoral College has already held its voting sessions on the US presidential election, and the vote count is scheduled to be finalized in Congress. 

According to US media reports, the results of the House of Representatives vote showed that Joe Biden won 306 votes, thus he is would be president and Kamala Harris, the vice-president.

Trump continues to raise the issue of fraud in the November 3 presidential election, with only a few days left before Joe Biden is sworn in as the new president.
