Tehran (IP): Pointing to the role of Iraq's Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) in neutralizing the tensions and threats in the region, the commander of the PMU said his country would not be affected by any of these issues.

Iran PressIran News: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press on Friday on the sidelines of the commemoration ceremony of the first anniversary of the martyrdom of Lt. Gen. Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al- Muhandis, Falih al-Fayyadh said that the Iraqi government has a policy that is adhering to which is essential for all. 

“Attacks and threats do not affect the PMU security forces, and the PMU will confront them seriously and wisely,” he added.

"I believe that on the occasion of the anniversary of the martyrdom of General Soleimani, the United States is taking such measures to assess the reactions," al-Fayyadh told IP correspondent. 

The Commander of Iraq's PMU expressed hope that the US would behave wisely in this stage and would not commit hostile acts.
