Tehran (IP) - The war in the region, in any form, with any country or any current, is to the detriment of the United States and is doomed to failure, Vice-chairman of National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of Iran’s parliament said.

Iran PressIran News: In an exclusive phone conversation with Iran Press, Shahriar Heydari added that the primary and central issue is the political developments in the United States and it has psychological roots in the American government.

Vice-chairman of National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of Iran’s parliament stated: "The Trump administration is about to end and he is not willing to hand over power to Biden and is trying to make this transfer in the atmosphere of war, which is a dangerous move for the United States."

Heydari emphasised that the US military presence in the region has propaganda and psychological aspect and there is no war.

"This is not the first time that the United States has brought B-52 and naval forces into the region. Unfortunately, it mostly uses the weakness of the Arab countries along the Persian Gulf," he stressed.

He noted that the US' military movement in the Persian Gulf region has a political use and no military use.

Heydari highlighted that when Biden takes the power in the United States, such moves will certainly be reconsidered by US officials.

Also, the Islamic Republic of Iran is a military power in the region and has no fear of US' military actions and the United States does not dare to clash militarily with the Islamic Republic of Iran, he concluded.
