Iran's health ministry spox:

Tehran (IP) – Iran's Ministry of Health spokeswoman announced in her presser on Monday that 1,206,373 people in the country had been infected with the coronavirus, and 960,751 recovered.

Iran PressIran News: "According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to December 28, 2020, newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 was 5,908 cases out of whom 798 patients were hospitalized," Sima Sadat Lari stated.

She noted that in the past 24 hours, 121 COVID-19 patients had lost their lives, bringing the total death toll to 54,814.

"5,174 COVID-19 patients are in critical condition," according to the spokeswoman.

"So far, 7,460,422 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across the country," the health ministry spokeswoman pointed.

"Currently, 108 cities are in the orange zone, and 340 counties are in the yellow zone," Lari said.
