Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Yemen's National Salvation Government (NSG) issued a statement on Sunday warning that a full-scale war could break out in the region if the Israeli regime invades Yemen.

Iran PressMiddle East: In response to the recent remarks by an Israeli army spokesman Yemeni foreign ministry said in the statement: "Instead of threatening other countries in the region, it would be better for Israel to monitor and control the territories it has occupied."

The Israeli army spokesman said in an interview yesterday that Israel considers Iraq and Yemen as the second most dangerous threat and expects them to pose a threat to the regime, and that the Israeli army is keeping an eye on Yemen and monitoring the situation there.

The statement added: "In case of any action against Yemen by Israel, all the interests of the Zionists and their partners in the Red Sea will be the legitimate target."

The foreign ministry of the Sanaa government stressed that the Zionist regime would be the first loser in a full-scale war.

"The Zionist regime seeks to create excuses for hostile actions against others to cover up its aggression against the Palestinian people and its defeats and to encourage others to normalize their relations with it," it added.
