Tehran (IP) - New COVID-19 deaths in Iran has decreased to 119, according to the latest figures by the health ministry.

Iran Press/Iran News: The Spokeswoman for Iran's Ministry of Health Sima Sadat Lari announced on Saturday that 1,200,465 people in the country had been infected with the coronavirus, and 951,860, of them, recovered.

According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to December 27, 2020, newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 was 5,502 cases out of whom 530 patients were hospitalized, Sima Sadat Lari stated.

She noted that in the past 24 hours, 119 COVID-19 patients had lost their lives, bringing the total death toll to 54,693.

5,212 COVID-19 patients are in critical condition, according to the spokeswoman.

So far, 7,407,400 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across the country, the Health Ministry spokeswoman pointed out.

Currently, 108 cities are in the orange zone, and 340 counties are in the yellow zone, Lari said.
