Tehran (IP) - According to the latest statistics by Iran’s health ministry on Friday, daily deaths have declined to 132, the lowest number since September 13th.

Iran Press/Iran News: The Spokeswoman for Iran's Ministry of Health Sima Sadat Lari announced on Friday that 1,189,203 people in the country have been infected with the coronavirus, and 933,736 of the total infected people recovered.

According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to December 25, 2020, newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 was 6,021 cases out of whom 906 patients were hospitalized, Lari stated.

She noted that in the past 24 hours, 132 COVID-19 patients have lost their lives, bringing the total death toll to 54,440.

5,345 COVID-19 patients are in critical condition, according to her.

So far, 7,303,238 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across the country, the Health Ministry spokeswoman pointed out.
