Those who present themselves as champions of human rights are the primary violators of the rights of the great Iranian nation, said the Deputy Foreign Minister of Iran for Legal and International Affairs.

Why it matters:

The Western advocates of human rights who has caused such a heinous genocide in Gaza in support of the Israeli regime now accuse Iran of suppressing what they describe protests; the riots they guided in Iran to manufacture casualty figures as U.S. President Trump claimed 32,000.

What he's saying:

Kazem Gharibabadi, while delivering a speech at the High-Level Segment of the UN Human Rights Council on Monday:

After 47 years, you saw that tens of millions of Iranians showed extensive support for their Islamic Revolution and independence by taking to the streets. Unfortunately, some deceitful ones constantly invoke the human rights of the Iranian people.

Iran criticizes the international community for failing to condemn the U.S. and Israel following a “twelve-day war” in June 2025, which resulted in over 7,000 Iranian casualties.

The official labels the UN Human Rights Council a political tool and contrasts modern Western hypocrisy with Iran’s ancient history as the creator of the first human rights charter (the Cyrus Cylinder).
After failing militarily, foreign enemies attempted to incite domestic riots by hijacking peaceful economic protests to create a pretext for further military intervention.

Iran demands accountability and “vengeance” against the U.S., Israel, and the Pahlavi family for their roles in orchestrating unrest and committing crimes against humanity.

Zoom In:

During recent unrest in Iran, rioters and terrorists carried out Daesh-style crimes, such as burning people alive, beheading, and murder, alongside the widespread use of firearms, which led to the martyrdom of 2,427 innocent people and security forces out of a total of 3,117 fatalities in these incidents.

Anti-human currents publish fabricated statistics about the fatalities with political motives, while none has yet managed to officially refute the country’s published official statistics with documented evidence.

The Big Picture:

The United States, the United Kingdom, and France, along with their allies, fully supported Saddam Hussein’s regime during the eight-year imposed war against Iran, which resulted in over 830,000 martyrs and wounded. Of these, 117,000 were martyred or wounded due to the use of chemicalweapons gifted to Saddam, particularly by Germany.

More than 25,000 innocent Iranian people, including women and children, were assassinated and martyred by terrorist groups that are now present in the safe havens of Western countries.
