SANAA (IP)- Iranian Ambassador to Yemen met with the country's Acting Minister of Tourism, to discuss the mobilization of the Yemeni tourism industry.

Iran PressMiddle East: During the meeting, Ahmad al-Ali discussed the damage done to Yemen's tourism sector by the Saudi-led aggressor coalition.

"In this war, all the tourist attractions of Yemen have been targeted," Ahmad al-Ali said.

"We are witnessing the bombardment of historical monuments and buildings, including the old parts of Sanaa and the areas of Shabam and Zubaid and it is feared that this situation will remove these places from the World Heritage List," he added.

The Yemeni official praised Iran's support for Yemen's oppressed people and expressed hope that his country would be able to use Iran's experience in developing the tourism sector.

The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hassan Irloo also stressed Tehran's readiness to help the Yemeni people transfer Iran's experiences in the tourism sector and expressed hope that the Yemenis would soon overcome the pain and suffering.

The Iranian ambassador described Yemen as an ancient tourist country with long historical ties with Iran and should be a destination for all tourists of the world.
