Why it matters:
In the statement appreciated the vigilance of the Iranian and national media against the U.S.-Israeli-backed riots in Iran.
What we're hearing:
The statement said: " While the delusional and naïve Western leaders, led by the United States and the Zionist regime, tried—with full force and with the support of domestic deceived individuals, aided by terrorist media arms, and in continuation of the imposed 12- day hybrid war—to turn a legitimate economic demand into political and security turmoil by creating unrest and chaos, the noble people of Iran, with unity of purpose, delivered a firm slap in the face to the enemies."
On the ground:
At today’s session of the Iranian Parliament, lawmakers agreed the general framework of the bill on supporting rallies and gatherings, with 215 votes in favor and no votes against. The bill seeks to implement Article 27 of the Constitution by allowing peaceful assemblies, assigning the police a perimeter security role, and distinguishing protesters from rioters.
Flashback:
The U.S.-Israeli-backed agents entered the economic protests of Iranian people in some parts of the country, including the capital Tehran, and tuned the protests into violence and terrorist attacks on the Iranian security forces and civilians on January 8 to 10.
