Tehran (IP) - Indonesian embassy in Tehran, on the occasion of 70th anniversary of relations with Iran, stated that Tehran and Jakarta are continuing to develop bilateral cooperation to address challenges in further developing trade.

Iran Press/Iran news: In a statement on Sunday, the Indonesian embassy in Iran stated that Tehran and Jakarta are continuing to develop bilateral cooperation to address challenges in further developing trade, including negotiating a Preferential Trade Arrangements (PTAs).

On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the beginning of diplomatic relations between the two countries, the Indonesian embassy in Iran stated that 2020 is the 70th anniversary of the two countries' diplomatic relations, adding: "Cooperation between Iran and Indonesia has developed in many areas, and some of them are going ahead."

"Iran-Indonesia relations have continued since 1950, and the two countries have always had good bilateral political relations, which is the basis for cooperation in other areas," the statement said.

The Indonesian embassy stated that trade and economic diplomacy is one of the country's priorities, emphasizing: "There are opportunities and potentials to increase the volume of trade between Iran and Indonesia, which should be used for the two countries' welfare."
