Tehran (IP) - During the last eight months, nearly two-thirds of Iran's sturgeon and caviar production has been exported to European countries.

Iran Press/Iran news: Ruhollah Latifi, the spokesman for Iran's customs, said Monday: "In the past eight months, 1,213 kilograms of Iranian caviar have been exported to 22 countries."

According to Ruhollah Latifi, the total value of Iran's caviar exports in the past eight months has been $ 624,294.

Latifi said Europeans had bought more than 68%, Asia 30%, the United States more than 1%, and Australia less than 1%.

"During this time, Germany, Belgium, Japan, Britain, the UAE, the Netherlands, and Spain were the main buyers of Iranian delectable, gold-standard caviar, respectively," the spokesman highlighted.

According to the report, other customers of Iranian caviar were Russia, Oman, Hong Kong, Italy, Canada, Qatar, Australia, Kuwait, Switzerland, Thailand, South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Sweden, and Cambodia.
