Iran Press/ Iran news: In an exclusive interview with Iran press news agency on the importance of Iran-India-Uzbekistan Trilateral Transit, Shahram Adamnejad Iran Transport Deputy Minister said in the immediate future Chabahar Port will be the biggest Iran's transit gate which not only Iran but other regional countries will benefit.
He added that many measures have been taken to facilitate and develop transit, so goods transportation from Asia to Europe can be an important and safe route.
“The key point which was discussed today is that other countries can invest in Chabahar Port mainly Uzbekistan that declared its readiness to do so via Iran's Ports and Maritime Organization as long as there are common interests between the two countries to transport and transit,” he restated.
"To remove the restrictions caused by the COVID-19 outbreak for transportation and transit, other ways have been replaced," Adamnejad noted.
Khaf-Herat railway is route transiting goods from China and India to North of Iran and Europe
“Khaf-Herat railway is a big transportation project”, he stated.
Shahram Adamnejad Highlighted: "This route connection to Chabahar Port can create a strong corridor to export goods from China and India to North of Iran and Europe."
“Uzbekistan is eager to use this route for transiting most of its goods”, he said.
Expressing hope that by the end of 2020 the trial transit test will be done, Iran Transport Deputy Minister Shahram Adamnejad said that two months ago the first trial transit test between Iran-Afghanistan and Uzbekistan has kicked off, and many related problems were solved.
