Iran Press/Iran news: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press on the sidelines of the opening of the Asian University Chess Championship, which started this morning in Tehran, Hadi Bashirian stated that the hosting of these competitions was given to the Islamic Republic and this hosting is important because it is the first Asian sporting event in 2020 that Iran was able to host.
"We are also looking to host the Asian University Wushu and Taekwondo Championships," he highlighted.
Bashirian noted that it is difficult to predict the results, but there are prominent chess players from Asian countries and the competition will be very close.
