Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held separate meetings with his counterparts from Eritrea, Nicaragua, and Uganda on the sidelines of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

On Saturday afternoon, the Iranian Foreign Minister held talks with Eritrean Foreign Minister Osman Saleh Mohammed, focusing on regional developments and strengthening bilateral relations.

In a separate meeting, Araghchi conferred with Nicaragua’s Foreign Minister Denis Ronaldo Moncada on boosting Tehran-Managua ties and cooperation at international organizations.

Araghchi also met with Uganda’s Foreign Minister Odongo Jeje Abubakar, where the two sides discussed ways to expand bilateral cooperation.

In the meeting, the Ugandan Foreign Minister condemned the use of the Security Council as a tool to exert pressure on Iran.
