Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, who is in the United States to attend the annual session of the United Nations General Assembly, met on Tuesday evening with Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), for the second time in two days.

The meeting was part of ongoing consultations regarding Iran’s nuclear issue, focusing on the continuation of diplomatic efforts and the need to prevent further escalation of tensions.

The meeting followed Araghchi’s talks with the foreign ministers of Germany, France, and the United Kingdom, collectively known as the European Troika.

The three European countries have threatened to activate the snapback mechanism against Iran.
