Why it matters:
Al-Houthi's statement signals Yemen's continued involvement in supporting Palestinians and confirms that the killings of Yemeni ministers by the Zionist regime have not diminished its support for Palestinian resistance movements.
The big picture:
Israeli regime's airstrikes on the Yemeni capital claimed the lives of Prime Minister Ahmed Ghaleb Al-Rahawi of the National Government of Change and Construction, and others serving across various portfolios.
The strike marks a dangerous escalation in the Israeli regime’s regional aggressions, extending its genocide in Gaza and Lebanon into Yemen, a country whose forces have backed the Palestinian cause and targeted the occupied territories in solidarity during the Gaza war.
What he is saying:
Abdul-Malik al-Houthi said: The assassination of the Yemeni ministers and the great sacrifice in the path of God will not affect Yemen's position, neither officially nor popularly, and will not lead to retreat or weakness. Rather, we will become more steadfast in our positions and will become more determined and certain, as we have understood from the beginning the importance, greatness, honor, and necessity of this position.
He added: "The Zionist enemy, with its crimes and brutality, even targets children, women, and unarmed civilians. The crime of targeting ministers and civilian employees adds to the history of the enemy's crimes in the region."
He continued his speech by saying: "The savage and criminal Zionist enemy is a threat to the entire nation. What the Zionist regime is doing daily in Palestine and the Gaza Strip are horrific crimes that must be opposed."
