Iran's ambassador to Yemen stated in a tweet that the US role is prominent in the aggression against the peoples of the region, especially against the Yemenis.

Iran Press/Middle East: Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Yemen Hassan Irlu on Tuesday night on his Twitter noted that what is happening in the Saudi siege and aggression against Yemen is merely the implementation of the American-Zionist policies.

Since 2015, Saudi Arabia and the UAE have launched large-scale attacks against Yemen, the poorest Arab country, in a coalition of several Arab countries with the help of the US and UK.

The military aggression has so far resulted in nothing but the killing and wounding of tens of thousands of Yemenis, as well as the displacement of millions of deprived citizens, the destruction of infrastructure, famine, and the spread of infectious diseases in the country.

The United States imposed terrorism sanctions on Iran's ambassador to Yemen, claiming Hasan Irlu's recent dispatch to Yemen as a signal Tehran plans to make it harder to resolve the five-year war in the country.
