Tehran (IP) - Iran's parliament speaker met with the Ambassador of Pakistan to Iran on Tuesday, where he called on the Pakistani government to help Iranian hostages release three Iranian hostages held by terrorists.

Iran PressIran news: Mohammad Baqer Ghalibaf, Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, said today in the meeting with Rahim Hayat Qureshi: "Considering the common borders of Iran and Pakistan as two powerful countries in the region, operating of the border markets can strengthen the security of border residents.

"Emphasizing the establishment of peace in the region, Ghalibaf added: "The Islamic Republic has no preconditions for dialogue with Muslim countries, and of course, Iran is not a threat to any country."

He asked all Muslim countries to work together to prevent US hegemony in the region.

"We must work for peace in Afghanistan, and of course, the legitimate government of Afghanistan can pursue this work within the framework of the constitution so that the people can achieve lasting security and peace," He highlighted.

The speaker also stressed: "We expect the Pakistani government to take immediate action to release the three Iranian hostages."

During the meeting, Pakistani Ambassador Rahim Hayat Qureshi expressed his condolences to the Iranian nation and government for the assassination of Dr. Fakhrizadeh, saying: "The terrorist act that led to Fakhrizadeh's martyrdom was against all international norms.

Rahim Hayat Qureshi, referring to Iran's hospitality to Pakistani pilgrims who travel to Iran to visit holy places, said: "Islamabad is trying to facilitate Pakistani pilgrims' travel to Iran."

"Our priority is to reopen border markets," At the same time, he added.
