Iran Press/ Iran news: According to Iran Press report on Tuesday from the Secretariat of the Supreme National Security Council, the new Syrian Foreign Minister Faisal al-Mekdad, who has visited Tehran, met with Admiral Ali Shamkhani, representative of Iran’s Leader and Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, and discussed bilateral and regional and international issues.
In this meeting, Rear Admiral Shamkhani, referring to the high level of strategic relations between Iran and Syria and praising the important and privileged role of this country in the regional resistance against the occupation and expansionism of the Israeli regime, stressed the need to continue and expand Tehran-Damascus relations.
He stated that by being present in Syria, the United States seeks to plunder Syrian oil, maintain the security of the Israeli regime, and strengthen and expand the terrorist cells of ISIS in the region. The evil presence of the United States in the region must end.

Referring to the existence and secret of Israel’s survival, which is the development of human rights violations and terror, he added: "The international community must resolutely oppose the actions of this blood-thirsty and anti-human regime to create a safe and peaceful world."
The Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council stated: "Undoubtedly, the world will be safer without the Zionist Regime."
Shamkhani added: "Government officials who are humbly normalizing relations with the fake Zionist Regime and helping to implement US plans in the region will not have a better end than Gaddafi and Omar al-Bashir."
The Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council praised the resistance of the Syrian people and government against the Hebrew-ISIS aggression and terrorism and emphasized: "The Islamic Republic of Iran will never leave the Syrian people and government alone in the fight against aggression and the destruction of terrorism."
Shamkhani noted that the pure blood of the children of the resistance in Iran, Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Palestine, Yemen, and all Islamic lands, will eradicate aggression and terrorism and the source of the occupation from the region.
During the meeting, the Syrian Foreign Minister also expressed his appreciation for the Islamic Republic's comprehensive support against terrorism and Israel's threats, saying the Syrian government and people will never forget the memory of the sacrifices of the Iranian commanders and soldiers, especially Martyr Lt. General Qasem Soleimani.
Referring to the good relations between the two countries in all areas, he stressed the need to strengthen and expand these relations, especially in the economic field.
Syrian Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad arrived in Tehran on Monday on his first foreign trip.
