Iran, Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic to expand cooperation

Baku (IP) - The Iranian Ambassador to the Republic of Azerbaijan and the chairman of the Supreme Assembly of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic stressed the need to expand bilateral cooperation.

Iran PressAsia: Iranian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Abbas Mousavi met with the chairman of the Supreme Assembly of Nakhchivan, Vasif Talibov, to discuss various aspects of bilateral cooperation.

Talibov also praised the principled positions of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the clear and unequivocal position of Ayatollah Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution in support of the liberation of the occupied territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and added, " With the new developments, the mutual cooperation will be significantly expanded in all areas, especially in transportation."

The chairman of the Supreme Assembly of Nakhchivan also expressed his condolences to the people of Iran on the martyrdom of the scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh.

During his visit to Nakhchivan, the Ambassador also met with the first deputy chairman of the Supreme Assembly of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Azar Zeynalov to discuss bilateral development relations.

Condemning Iran's leading nuclear and defense scientist's martyrdom, Zeynalov said that he was a prominent scientific figure in the Islamic world.
