Iran’s UN Envoy Amir Saeid Iravani condemns Israel’s barbaric and criminal attacks on Iran’s sovereignty, targeting nuclear sites, military installations, and civilian areas. He called it a violation of the UN Charter and a threat to global peace.

Amir Saeid Iravani, Permanent Representative of Iran to the United Nations, on the recent attack by Israel, in a press briefing after the UNSC emergency meeting said:

"Israel, the loudest and violent regime in the world, committed these barbaric attacks with a full intelligence, operational, and political backing of the United States government. This was not self-defense; it was a remediated, unjustifiable act of aggression.

He added: Israel targets include peaceful nuclear facilities under the IAEA safeguards, military installations, civilian infrastructure, and residential areas. Iran has also been the victim of systematic assassination of senior officials, scientists, and civilians, a campaign of targeted murder that was latest and most basic principles of humanity.

He added that 78 Iranians have been killed and more than 320 injured, the vast majority of them civilians, including women and children.
