Sana'a (IP) - Al-Sabeen Maternal Hospital in the capital Sana'a is a center for treating malnutrition, and many children in this hospital are suffering from it.

Iran Press/Middle East: IranPress reporter has visited Al-Sabeen Maternal Hospital which is a center for treating malnutrition.

The reporter has met children with acute malnutrition who are mainly living in the capital city of Sana'a or the governorate.

Some mothers of the children said their children have been recovered a little bit since arriving at the hospital days ago.

Malnutrition has been intensified in Yemen due to Saudi Arabia's warmongering and limitations.

In its latest report, UNICEF said "acute child malnutrition rates have reached record levels in some parts of the country, marking a 10 percent increase just this year."

"Nearly 325,000 children under the age of five suffer from severe acute malnutrition and are fighting to survive, and more than 12 million children need humanitarian assistance."

Yemen is a country beset by violence, pain, and suffering.

The economy is in shambles.

The health system has been on the verge of collapse for years.

Countless schools, hospitals, water stations, and other crucial public infrastructure have been destroyed or damaged in the war.

Disregard for international humanitarian law is shockingly blatant.

Saudi Arabia, along with the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Sudan, and the United States, began invading Yemen on March 26, 2015.

But over the past six years, with the exception of the UAE and the US, other Saudi allies have left the coalition, and Abu Dhabi has now grown from an old ally to a rival to Riyadh in southern Yemen.

Thousands of Yemenis have been killed since Saudi Arabia invaded Yemen, and according to the United Nations, famine in the country has become the biggest humanitarian catastrophe in the world.
