The 39th edition of Spain’s Molins de Rei Horror Film Festival ended with three major awards for the Iranian film ‘The Night,’ including the best male actor for Shahab Hosseini.

Iran PressEurope: In this cinematic event, ‘The Night’ directed by Kourosh Ahari, won the best director and screenplay award.

Shahab Hosseini also won the award for the best male actor of the festival for his film role.

The film narrates the story of a couple who become trapped inside a hotel with its demons, real and imagined, until they can confront the secrets of their marriage.

Molins de Rei Horror Film Festival was established in 1973 in Molins de Rei (Barcelona). 

The Festival consists of a competitive Feature Films Official Sections, Being Different Feature Films Section, Short Films Official Section, Retrospectives, Documentaries, Live shows, Workshops, Networking/Pitching, projections for high-schools, projections for children, etc. 

The Festival is a member of the European Fantastic Film Festivals Federation (EFFFF).
